Infant/Toddler Care

ToddlerYear-round Christian based child care facility serving children 6 months - 36 months (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm).  It is our aim to provide a safe, nurturing and healthy environment with a Christian emphasis for children to engage in developmentally appropriate activities while still having fun.

By providing consistent, loving care for children, moms are able to enter the work force free of concern for the safety of their children and provide financially for their families, knowing that their little ones are safe and learning about Christ in a Christian environment.  Our partnership within the community consists of making the community aware of the services we provide through direct interaction in the city schools, local small grocery stores and the welfare department. The Family Worker keeps up-to-date on available resources and acts as a liaison for Center families.

Children are taught at an early age to sing, pray, listen to Bible stories and learn of God's love.  They in turn take the message home and share it through story and song. Our staff are committed Christians and in their contact with the parents are a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They promote evangelism as they share what the children have been learning about God.

Preschool

Preschool children5-day-a-week secular program offered to parents at no cost and run in collaboration with the Camden City Board of Education (8:30 am - 3:00 pm) with extended am/pm care available free to those who qualify through application (7:30 - 8:30 am and 3:00 - 5:00 pm).  Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to offer a variety of learning activities including library, music, dramatic play, active play and art.  We also provide breakfast, lunch and a snack daily.

Our facility allows Moms to work and earn an income to support their families.  Also, over the years, some children from this program have entered our Youth Programs (SEP, After School) and have benefited from the academic and spiritual activities that are provided.  We have direct partnership with the Camden City Board of Education through their master teacher's mentoring and special training sessions to enhance the teaching skills of our preschool teachers and aides.  The Family Worker acts as a liaison for Center families.

This program is a Board of Education program during the school year.  As an option during the summer, parents are able to request a Christian addition to the school-day program.  These preschool children are then given approximately 50 hours of Bible-related instruction.  At the close of the program, this material is sent home with each child.   In so doing, the Christian message is brought before the parents, who are generally interested in seeing what has been taught to their children.  We have some parents who choose our preschool solely because we are a Christian agency.
