Senior Adult Program
Adult Bible Class - senior adult program, which meets at the Center during 10 months of the year on Thursdays from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Our aim is to provide spiritual enrichment and supportive friendships for seniors in the community through Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Transportation is provided by the Center.
This program promotes evangelism by ministering to adults through weekly Bible study and fellowship. The women are a dedicated support group for each other and on special occasions share their faith through song at church and community functions. The Seniors Bible Study Group has volunteers who come to the Center each week and assist them in their Bible studies.
Fifty Plus Club - senior adult program, which meets at the Center during 10 months of the year on Wednesdays from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm. Our aim is to provide the seniors with social activities, which include lunch, fellowship and a program planned by the group's committee. This group also goes out to churches on singing engagements and takes several trips throughout the year. The Fifty Plus Club has a choir that participates in local United Methodist Women's luncheons during the year. Transportation is provided.
Seniors here at the Center have expressed their gratitude for the impact our adult programs have had on their physical and spiritual lives. Many live alone and are grateful for the opportunity to get out, enjoy a nutritious meal and fellowship with other Christians on a weekly basis. They try, where possible, to be supportive to each other in time of need when they are away from the Center. Some have been willing to give back to the Center by helping on various occasions with mailings and other activities, as needed.
